Team Sheehy Toyota of Laurel proudly joined hundreds of energetic runners, families, and volunteers at the annual Girls On The Run 5K—a powerful event dedicated to empowering young girls through physical activity, confidence-building, and life-skills development.
As a returning sponsor, we were excited to once again support this inspiring mission while bringing extra enthusiasm and creativity to the morning’s festivities. Our team arrived bright and early with a white Sheehy Toyota truck and a station fully stocked with colorful markers—and the fun began instantly.
The girls quickly transformed the truck into a canvas of self-expression, covering it with drawings, words of encouragement, and vibrant designs that reflected their unique personalities. What started as a simple interactive idea quickly became one of the most joyful highlights of the event, sparking laughter, connection, and unforgettable smiles.
Hosted annually by Girls On The Run, the 5K encourages participants to build confidence, foster teamwork, and strengthen essential life skills—all through the power of movement. It was incredible to witness the excitement and pride as the girls crossed the finish line, supported by their families, coaches, and the entire community.
