Sheehy Hyundai of Chantilly Supports Local Families with Teddy Bear Delivery
At Sheehy Hyundai of Chantilly, serving the community means being present when local families need encouragement most. On July 7, 2026, members of the Sheehy team visited StoneSprings Hospital Center in Dulles, Virginia, as part of Hyundai Hope on Wheels.
During the visit, the team delivered hundreds of plush teddy bears to help provide comfort to children and families connected with the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The delivery was coordinated with representatives from the Children’s National Hospital Foundation, bringing together dealership employees, hospital staff and community partners for a meaningful afternoon of giving.
A Small Gesture with a Meaningful Purpose
Families with a child receiving hospital care often face uncertainty, stress and long days away from home. While a teddy bear cannot change the medical challenges they may be experiencing, it can offer a familiar source of comfort during an unfamiliar and difficult time.
The Sheehy Hyundai of Chantilly team was grateful for the opportunity to contribute something tangible that hospital staff can share with families when a little extra support is needed. Each bear represented a simple message: local families are not facing these moments alone.
Hospital staff joined the Sheehy team outside StoneSprings Hospital Center for the delivery and handoff. The visit also included representatives from the Children’s National Hospital Foundation, including Brady Smith, Senior Associate Director of Corporate Partnerships.
Their participation helped highlight the importance of partnerships between local businesses, healthcare organizations and charitable foundations. When these groups work together, they can extend their reach and create a stronger network of support for children and families throughout the region.
Continuing the Sheehy Tradition of Community Involvement
Sheehy Auto Stores has long believed that a dealership should be more than a place to purchase or service a vehicle. Each Sheehy location is part of the community it serves, and that responsibility includes finding meaningful ways to give back.
For Sheehy Hyundai of Chantilly, participating in Hyundai Hope on Wheels is one way to put that commitment into action. The program’s focus on helping children and families aligns closely with Sheehy’s broader dedication to supporting local organizations and causes.
The teddy bear delivery also gave Sheehy team members an opportunity to step outside the dealership and connect directly with people making a difference in the community every day. Hospital employees, foundation representatives and healthcare professionals play an important role in guiding families through some of their most challenging experiences. Sheehy Hyundai of Chantilly was honored to recognize that work and contribute to their efforts.
Moving Forward Together
The visit to StoneSprings Hospital Center was about more than delivering teddy bears. It was about showing compassion, building community relationships and reminding local families that people throughout Northern Virginia are thinking of them.
Sheehy Hyundai of Chantilly is proud to support Hyundai Hope on Wheels and the Children’s National Hospital Foundation. The dealership looks forward to continuing its work with organizations that strengthen the community and improve the lives of children and families across the region.
