Sheehy GMC and Subaru of Fredericksburg are proud to continue their commitment to strengthening the Fredericksburg community through a recent $4,000 donation to Empowerhouse, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence and their families.
This contribution reflects an ongoing partnership rooted in compassion, community service, and a shared commitment to helping individuals and families build safer, brighter futures.
Supporting a Lifeline for Survivors
For more than 37 years, Empowerhouse has served as a critical resource for survivors of domestic violence throughout Fredericksburg and the surrounding counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, and Stafford.
As a Virginia-accredited 501(c)(3) domestic violence program, Empowerhouse provides a comprehensive network of services designed to support survivors and their children during some of life’s most challenging moments. These services include confidential emergency shelter, a 24-hour crisis hotline, victim advocacy, children’s programs, support groups, court advocacy, healthcare accompaniment, transitional housing assistance, and culturally responsive services, including Spanish-language support.
The organization also works proactively within the community through teen dating violence prevention programs and batterer intervention services, helping address domestic violence through both support and education.

The $4,000 donation will directly support Empowerhouse’s mission of empowering survivors to rebuild their lives with dignity, respect, safety, and hope.
