Kicking It Forward: Sheehy Toyota of Fredericksburg Donates to Virginia Youth Soccer Association

Sheehy Toyota of Fredericksburg continues to champion youth development through sports with a recent $5,000 donation to the Virginia Youth Soccer Association (VYSA). The check was presented to Gord Miller, further solidifying a valued partnership that has been in place since 2019.

About the Organization

Founded in 1977, the Virginia Soccer Association (VSA) is a nonprofit youth soccer organization serving families across Western Prince William County—including communities like Haymarket, Gainesville, Catharpin, and Bristow. VSA offers recreational leagues for young players ages 3 to 18 and supports competitive travel teams that participate in leagues across Northern Virginia.

Affiliated with prestigious organizations such as VYSA, US Youth Soccer, USSF, and FIFA, VSA doesn’t just train soccer players—it helps shape well-rounded, confident young athletes. The association also proudly provides financial assistance to families in need, ensuring that every child who wants to play has the opportunity to do so.

Supporting Dreams Through Sport

The donation from Sheehy Toyota of Fredericksburg will go directly toward providing equipment and travel support for under-resourced youth athletes. These funds help break down financial barriers and open up meaningful opportunities for kids to engage in the game, build life skills, and be part of a supportive team environment.

Building Community Through Play

“Our support for VYSA is about more than just soccer,” said Kevin Runey. “It’s about helping kids grow, creating lasting community connections, and investing in the next generation.”

We are proud to have supported the Virginia Youth Soccer Association since 2019 and look forward to continuing our partnership for many seasons to come.
