Sheehy Toyota of Laurel Sends Off a Young Superhero in Style

Celebrating Our Partnership with Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic

Sheehy Toyota of Laurel recently made magic happen for one very special guest. On Friday, May 23, the dealership hosted a spectacular superhero-themed send-off party for 13-year-old Kendric from Clinton, Maryland, in partnership with Make-A-Wish® Mid-Atlantic.

Kendric, an inspiring young man battling a critical illness, is not only a National Honor Society student but also a huge fan of comic books and basketball. His one true wish? To visit the most magical place on earth—Walt Disney World. And thanks to the generosity of Sheehy Toyota of Laurel that dream is now a reality.

The celebration kicked off with a grand superhero escort from Kendric’s home in a custom-wrapped vehicle featuring his favorite characters. Upon arrival at the dealership, Kendric was greeted with cheers, themed decorations, music, and plenty of surprises—including some familiar superhero faces.

The event drew a crowd of around over 200 guests including Kendric’s family and friends, Sheehy Toyota of Laurel employees, Make-A-Wish staff, and community supporters. The energy was electric, the smiles were contagious, and the love and encouragement for Kendric were felt throughout.

Representatives from Make-A-Wish and Sheehy shared heartfelt remarks during the celebration, emphasizing the power of community and compassion. The dealership was honored to sponsor the party and play a part in such a meaningful moment for Kendric and his family.

At Sheehy, we believe in giving back—and this event was a shining example of our commitment to making a difference in the lives of those around us. We are proud to support Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic and to help turn dreams into unforgettable experiences.

Thank you to all who contributed to making this event a success. Kendric may be heading to Disney, but on this day, he was our hometown hero.
