Sheehy Subaru Loves to Help

We’re excited to share our recent community support initiatives through the Subaru Loves to Help program, where all three of our Sheehy Subaru stores got involved. Leading the way, Sheehy Subaru of Fredericksburg made a generous donation of $5,000 worth of children’s coats to the Brisben Center. This was part of Subaru’s larger partnership with Operation Warm®, a program designed to provide essential clothing to kids in need. And when we say “essential clothing,” we mean brand-new coats, shoes, and socks for children who really need them.

As the largest automotive sponsor of Operation Warm, Subaru and its retailers have already helped over 150,000 children stay cozy with new coats. This year, we set our sights on helping children facing homelessness and those in urgent need across our local communities. Because let’s be honest, nobody should have to worry about staying warm, especially when they’re still figuring out multiplication tables or learning how to tie their shoes.

But it didn’t stop there! Sheehy Subaru of Hagerstown and Sheehy Subaru of Springfield also stepped up in a big way, each donating $3,000 to organizations making a huge impact in their communities. Hagerstown’s donation went to CASA Inc., an organization that supports victims of abuse, while Springfield’s contribution supported Garfield Elementary School, helping kids get the support they need to thrive.

These donations might not solve every problem, but we’re proud to be making even a small difference. After all, we believe in giving back in ways that truly matter, whether it’s providing a warm coat or helping a child feel supported. Besides, we think helping out is kind of like driving a Subaru—it just feels right.
