Rooted in Community: 300 Trees for a Healthier Planet

This Spring, three Sheehy Subaru dealerships—Fredericksburg, Hagerstown, and Springfield—proudly partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation to support a greener, more sustainable future. As part of the Subaru Loves the Earth initiative, each dealership distributed 100 trees to customers and local organizations, helping to beautify our communities and promote environmental stewardship.

At Sheehy Subaru of Fredericksburg, 75 trees were distributed to local customers, while 25 were donated to the Northern Virginia Conservation Trust (NVCT), a nonprofit dedicated to preserving natural spaces across the region.

At Sheehy Subaru of Hagerstown, all 100 trees were reserved and distributed to customers, finding new homes in backyards, parks, and neighborhoods throughout the region. The overwhelming response is a testament to Hagerstown’s strong sense of community and environmental awareness.

At Sheehy Subaru of Springfield, 96 trees were distributed directly to customers, while 4 were donated to Piney Branch Elementary School, known for its sustainability-focused curriculum. Despite a last-minute shift indoors due to inclement weather, the event saw a fantastic turnout and enthusiastic participation.

Together, these efforts represent 300 trees planted across our region—trees that will grow to improve air quality, reduce carbon emissions, and enhance local ecosystems. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to connect people, purpose, and planet—and create a healthier tomorrow, one tree at a time.

Thank you to all our team members, customers, and community partners who helped make this project a resounding success!
