On April 5, 2025, Sheehy Auto Stores proudly joined hundreds of supporters at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, D.C., for the American Heart Association’s Greater Washington Region Heart Ball — an inspiring evening dedicated to advancing the fight against heart disease and improving cardiovascular health in our communities.
As a proud sponsor of this impactful event, Sheehy helped contribute to an incredible $1.3 million raised to support the American Heart Association’s lifesaving mission. The Heart Ball is one of the AHA’s signature fundraising events, bringing together community leaders, medical professionals, survivors, and advocates who are passionate about building a healthier future.
This year’s event centered around the AHA’s four chambers of impact: equity, knowledge, discovery, and advocacy. Throughout the night, moving stories from survivors, families, and healthcare leaders brought these themes to life — including powerful testimonies from children who overcame congenital heart defects and individuals who turned personal loss into purpose.
The evening also featured a heartfelt live auction led by Tom Stebbins and his daughter Lyla, a young congenital heart defect survivor. Their story — along with those of elementary schoolers Aubrey Spiess and Kennedy Shivers — reminded all attendees of the importance of early detection, access to care, and ongoing research.
