Sheehy Toyota of Laurel and Local Rotary Club Build Beds for Kids in Need

Sheehy Toyota of Laurel teamed up with a local Rotary group to participate in the Bunks Across America Bed Build event, a nationwide initiative by Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP). This collaborative effort brought volunteers together to construct beds for children who otherwise lack a safe and comfortable place to sleep. The event, part of SHP’s ongoing mission, focuses on addressing childhood bedlessness, an often overlooked but deeply impactful challenge facing far too many children. Volunteers, including Sheehy Toyota employees and Rotary members, spent the day sanding, staining, and assembling beds. These efforts not only brought smiles to the participants but also ensured that more children in the community can sleep peacefully at night.

Sheehy Toyota’s sponsorship, alongside the Rotary group’s involvement, highlights their shared commitment to serving the local community. Together, they didn’t just build beds— they took “assembly required” to a whole new level, proving that even furniture can be a team sport. It’s a reminder that partnerships like these can make a tangible difference in the lives of families in need.
