Sheehy Toyota of Fredericksburg was delighted to be a sponsor of the 2024 Great Train Race, an exciting event held in downtown Fredericksburg, VA. This race, renowned as one of the largest timed children’s races on the East Coast, provided an exceptional opportunity for young runners to participate in an event tailored specifically for them. The race commenced near the iconic Fredericksburg Train Station and meandered through the historic streets of downtown, culminating with runners crossing the Crown Trophy Finish Line at the picturesque City Docks.
The day of the race was not just about running but also celebrating with family and friends. Following the event, participants and their families gathered at the Race Festival, which took place in the commuter lot behind the Train Station. The festival was a vibrant affair, featuring a variety of activities including awards ceremonies, live music, engaging vendors, and a selection of delicious treats. It was a perfect conclusion to an exhilarating day, showcasing community spirit and joy.
In support of this wonderful event, Sheehy Toyota of Fredericksburg proudly donated $3,500. The funds raised went to Loisann’s Hope House, a vital organization that has been serving the Fredericksburg community since 1987. Loisann’s Hope House is dedicated to helping homeless children and their families transition to permanent housing, providing essential support and resources.
