What started as a family business in 1966 has grown into one of the nation’s leading automotive dealer groups, with more than 25 dealerships representing 13 automotive brands throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
While our business has grown and the industry has evolved, the values that built Sheehy remain at the heart of everything we do.

In 2026, all five Sheehy Ford locations earned the prestigious Ford President’s Award, recognizing their commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Sheehy Ford of Gaithersburg has achieved this honor for eight consecutive years and nine times over the past decade.
Sheehy Subaru of Springfield earned its seventh consecutive Subaru Pleiades Club Award, an exclusive honor recognizing the top 20 Subaru retailers in the United States for their performance in sales, customer satisfaction, operations, and community involvement.
Our Nissan, Lexus, Toyota, and GMC dealerships have also continued to set exceptional standards:
Sheehy Nissan of Manassas has earned the Nissan Award of Excellence for 13 years and received the prestigious Nissan Global Award in 2025.
Sheehy Lexus of Annapolis and Sheehy Lexus of Richmond have achieved Elite of Lexus recognition for five and three consecutive years, respectively.
Sheehy Toyota of Laurel has received the Toyota Board of Governors Award four times, while Sheehy Toyota of Stafford has earned Toyota’s President’s Award for four consecutive years.
Sheehy GMC of Hagerstown has achieved GMC’s Mark of Excellence for three consecutive years.

More Than Dealerships: A Legacy of Giving Back
For Sheehy, being part of a community means more than doing business there. It means showing up, lending a hand, and helping make that community stronger.
Through Sheehy Cares, our organization has donated more than $50 million to nonprofit organizations and charitable initiatives across the regions we serve.
In 2025 alone, Sheehy contributed more than $1 million to community causes, continuing a tradition of giving that has remained central to our company for six decades.
Our community involvement has supported organizations and families in many meaningful ways.
Together, we’ve raised and donated more than $4 million to the American Heart Association. We’ve also contributed more than $120,000 to Make-A-Wish and helped grant eight wishes for children facing critical illnesses.
Across our dealerships, our teams have collected and donated more than 26,000 pounds of food to food banks and food assistance organizations, provided more than 23,000 toys to children’s organizations, and contributed more than 15,000 school supplies to help students and teachers prepare for the school year.
But the true impact of these efforts goes far beyond the numbers.
