On United Way of Washington County’s annual Day of Caring, Sheehy Hagerstown proudly rolled up its sleeves to support local nonprofits with a blend of hands-on service and heartfelt giving.
As part of the day’s efforts, our service team provided free oil changes and tire rotations for nonprofit partners throughout the community — ensuring their vehicles remain safe, reliable, and ready to serve. For many of these organizations, their cars and vans are more than just transportation; they are lifelines, delivering meals, connecting clients with critical resources, and spreading hope across Hagerstown.
In addition, Sheehy Hagerstown donated $1,980 to the United Way of Washington County, further supporting programs and initiatives that strengthen families, uplift neighborhoods, and make a lasting difference in the community.
Anthony Schifano, General Manager at Sheehy Hagerstown, reflected on the day:
“We’re truly honored to be part of United Way’s Day of Caring here at Sheehy Hagerstown. This day is about so much more than service — it’s about standing alongside the nonprofits that pour so much love, time, and energy into our community every single day. By helping maintain their vehicles, we’re not just providing a service — we’re helping keep this community moving forward, stronger than ever.”
For Service Director Emma Lee at Sheehy Subaru of Hagerstown, the event was also deeply personal for the team:
“Our technicians and service staff were genuinely excited to volunteer their time today. They know that these vehicles are more than cars — they’re tools of service, connection, and care. Ensuring they’re safe and reliable is something we’re deeply proud to be a part of.”
The Day of Caring is a shining example of what makes Sheehy unique: the commitment to serve with heart. Whether it’s through Sheehy Cares initiatives, local partnerships, or special community events, Sheehy Hagerstown remains dedicated to giving back to the neighborhoods where we live and work.
A big thank-you goes out to the United Way of Washington County, our incredible nonprofit partners, and the Sheehy Hagerstown team, who made this day a success. Together, we’re driving change — one vehicle, one act of service, and one community at a time.
